> Biker Boys, Elizabethans and Thom Gunn's Cool Line - A Lecture by Dr Jeremy Reed – 12 November 2008

on the evening of 12 November 2008, The Temenos Academy hosted 'Biker Boys, Eizabethans and Thom Gunn's Cool Line' - A Lecture by Dr Jeremy Reed at the Rebecca Hossact Art Gallery.

Jeremy Reed worked with Kathleen Raine for many years as Poetry Editor of Temenos and has read and lectured at the Temenos Academy on numerous occasions. He was born in jersey, Channel Islands, and read for his PhD at the University of Essex. He is widely acknowledged as the most imaginatively gifted British poet of his generation, praised by Seamus Heaney for his 'rich and careful writing' and by David Lodge for his 'remarkable lyric gift'.

The Temenos Academy is an educational charity founded in 1990 by Dr Kathleen Raine (1908-2003), the poet and scholar of William Blake.
