All funds raised from the auction will go directly to Room to Read’s projects, helping children across Asia and Africa to gain the lifelong gift of education.  Here are some examples of how your bids can make a difference:

£500 could enable Room to Read to help an average of 20 children

£1,500 could enable Room to Read to fund up to 10 years of girls education in Asia or Africa.  Our holistic Girls Education Programme makes it possible for children to complete secondary school and gain the skills they need to navigate key life decisions

£3,500 could enable Room to Read to fund one of thousands of libraries in Asia or Africa.  Each of these libraries serves hundreds of students annually, and includes 1,000-1,500 local language and English language books, as well as furniture, games, puzzles, posters, library management training and ongoing monitoring to ensure proper access and usage

£10,000 could enable Room to Read to fund the publication of a local language children’s book, written and illustrated by local authors and artists in Asia. Each title is printed in the country of origin, supporting local industry and creating jobs, and then distributed throughout our schools and libraries

£22,000 could enable Room to Read to fund the construction of a new group of classrooms at a new or existing school.  This will provide a new and improved learning environment for several hundred students.
