Artist Statement
The extraordinary paintings of Margaret Neve have the power to make us
look at the world, in particular the English landscape, in a different
way. These beautiful, quirky and undeniably spiritual paintings are
produced using tiny dots of pure pigment, which gives the surface a
textured shimmer. Light infuses and progresses through the depths of
each painting adding to a sense of drama and mystery. The mountains,
forests and coast of West Wales, where she has a cottage, have been a
strong and abiding influence on her work.
